What is traditional Chinese medicine?

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is the ancient practice of acupuncture and herbology. It has been used and documented for over 2,000 years. The theories of TCM are based on the idea that energetic pathways, meridians, circulate through your entire body. Acupuncture or acupressure is used to access these meridians at gathering points of energy, to facilitate balance and healing in an individual's system. Other methods of TCM also include cupping, moxabustion, and Qi Gong.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatments needed to help each person varies depending on the main concern for treatment. Sometimes, herbal teas may be necessary to resolve certain issues more effectively. These herbal treatments may include herbs that are in pill form, or possible raw and powdered for making tea. Diet therapy may also be advised to help in resolving certain illnesses.
